When they persecute you
and condemn your belief
and they call you a liar
a spiritual thief
When they poignantly say
what you speak is absurd
will you give into pressure
or stay In The Word

When they challenge your thoughts
and question the way
you've chose to live life
through each fleeting day
When their words are salacious
disregard what you've heard
forgive indignation
and stay In The Word

For the days drawing near
when Gabriel blows his horn
and the world as we know it
will be tattered and torn
when you stand in judgement
for the sins you've incurred
you'll take comfort to know
that you've stayed In The Word
