I used to ask myself, where on earth would I be
If I had only chose another path set before me
Would I have lots of money and a magnificent home
Would I have visited Paris and The Coliseum in Rome
Would I have been the president of large company
Or discovered the cure for a deadly disease
Would my name have been placed on a city or street
Would I have been a great man with the world at my feet

For these things I do not know:

But now I understand something I once could not see
That is The Lord has a plan to bestow upon me
Now The Grace of The Lord greets each path that I choose
And with Him on my side there's no way I can loose
So when I think of my past and the choices I've made
All the guilt and the shame just dimminish to fade
Then I say to myself most vehemently
What was is what was and will be will be
It's what is right now that's most important to me
My God, My Covenant and My Family
