On the wings of a eagle,
away will I fly
to that place of comfort
where safety lies
On wings of a dove I will take my flight
where peace is promised
with joy delight
I will gather all my problems
and basket my troubles too
I will wrap up all my sorrows
God my comforter will know what to do
I will take my tearfilled handherchief
and my suitcase full of doubts
I will bundle together all my fears
and pray that he will wipe them out
I will carry my trunk of worries
which have a way of crowding my mind
and leave them to him to ease for me
so they can be left behind
I will pack up my load of questions
that I have listed one by one
and spread them out for him to answer
then wait until he is done
I will take him my diary filled with thoughts
that's connected to my heart, like pages in a book
and I will open it up for him to read
so he can see all the things I have took
now I hope I didn't forget anything
that I need my God to undo
but if I did I'm sure he knows
everything that I'm going through
