Sweet Li’l Jesus,
Upon His manger bed;
Creator of the universe,
Needs a woman to be fed;

Chorus:
Who would know this li’l one
Would grow to offend so many;
To convict the sinner with his sin,
And grant His grace to the homely;

Who would know this Li’l Jesus,
As one would know a friend,
And for sake of humble prayer,
Would save him from hell’s end;

Verse 2:
This one, so meek and mild,
To reign the world He made;
And for its hardened state,
Became Salvation’s blade;

This one, with meekness, remained quiet,
Not on a bed, but on a cross;
Then He cried, “It is finished,”
Knowing He made way for the lost.
