The Creator of all: Great and marvellous. He declares the end from the beginning. He spoke and it was done, commanded, decreed and it stood, came into being.
The heavens declare His glory and the galaxies extol His wonders and splendour. He towers above all. He made the heaven His throne and the earth His footstool. The laid the beams of his upper chamber on the seas. Rapping Himself with light as a garment, He rides on the crest of the wind. A fire goes before Him to burn up his enemies. The hills melt like wax before His presence. He is magnificent, excellent, immanent, pre-eminent, preceding time, and timeless. Glorious in holiness, victorious in battle, fearful in praises, He does wonders. All –powerful, All-knowing, Ever-present, there is no one like Him. He is the beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the great God above all gods, able to do exceeding abundantly, far beyond my wildest dream.
Who can be compared to Him? Who can give Him counsel? He is the only wise God, Who was, and is and is to come. He said, ‘Before Abraham, I Am. He is the Great I Am, the I Am That I Am. He measures the earth with the breath of His hands, holds the waters of the seas in the hollow of His hand. He upholds all things by the power of His Word. All creation, point to Him.
It is the fool who says in his heart,˜There is no God.
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, He delivered His people from the House of Bondage- displaying His awesome power whilst humiliating all the gods of the Egyptians. He rained manna from heaven to feed His people, brought forth water out from a rock to quench their thirst, sustained them for forty years in the wilderness, shoes growing with their feet, clothes remaining durable. He caused an axe to float on a river. He fed His prophet using a bird as a His messenger. Later He fed the same prophet using a penniless widow, to show that regardless of the channel, He was the Source, Jehovah Jireh, the Great Provider.
Nothing is too hard for this God. He brings even the dead back to life. The widow of Zeraphat testified to that. Lazarus was dead for four days and now stank. Jesus came on the scene and told them to roll away the stone. Then raising His voice, He cried out, Lazarus, Come forth! And Lazarus came back to life, staggering out with his grave clothes.˜Lose, him, and let him go! Jesus commanded.
And when Jesus, the Lamb of God, God the Son was crucified, they thought it was all over but on the third day He was raised by the power of the Holy Spirit. Neither the cross nor the grave could hold Him.
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in. Psalm 24:7-10
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty”
he is the King of glory.
11 After the suffering of his soul,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied Isa 53:11
The Stone Was Rolled Away!
˜Look not for the living among the dead. He is not here. He is risen, even as he said.
The miraculous came from the ridiculous. Demonic
forces thought they had won the war.
They crucified the Lord of Glory;
Beat Him, stripped Him and vilified Him.
The powers of darkness got it wrong.
On the first day of the week,
The stone was rolled away.
Early on that day.
Death could not hold
The Great King-
Jesus
God.
God
The Son,
The I Am,
The Great I Am,
I Am That I Am,
The Way the Truth, the Life,
Could not be stopped by the grave.
The Resurrection and the Life,
The Prince of Peace and the Prince of Life,
Rose up triumphant, just as He had said.
Grave, where's your victory. Death, where's
your sting? Captivity is led captive. Jesus has won!
His word never falls to the ground. Heaven and earth would pass away but the word of God will not pass away. His word will not return to Him empty will accomplish what He pleases, prospers in the thing whereunto it is sent; the flowers fade, the grass withers but the word of God abides forever. The resurrection was the sign of Jonah He spoke about: 39He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
This is why you and I must have a great expectation from a great and mighty God. He does not change. He said, I am the Lord, I change not. Jesus Christ, the same, yesterday, today and for ever. He is faithful, merciful, powerful, dependable, reliable, a God of integrity and equity. He does not put to shame those who have put their trust in Him, surrendered to Him, sold out to Him, serving Him wholeheartedly. He is a God whose love is unconditional, unfailing, and higher than the heaven is above the earth. He forgives and forgets, loves to do far above what we can ask or think of. He said, ˜Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered the heart of man what god has prepared for those who love Him.
32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all”how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things (Rom.8:32)
1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.( Deut 28:1) If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; Isa 1:19
8 Ask of me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will rule them with an iron scepter;
you will dash them to pieces like pottery."
Psalm 2:8-9
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matt.19:26) NIV
And so armed with this knowledge and truth, what should your response be?
David came before him daily in prayer and waited in expectation. He came to Him in reverence, in awe, adoration, praise worship, because He is the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, extraordinarily patient and abundant in goodness and in truth.
psalm of David.
1 Give ear to my words, O LORD,
consider my sighing.
2 Listen to my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation. Ps5:1-3
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation”
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life”
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh,
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
I don't know about you, as for me I will wait until my change comes.
(Job14:14KJV) God is not a man that He should recant on His word.( Num.23:19, Heb6:16-18 His promises are yes and amen in Christ. (2 Cor.1:20) Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For God is with me. His Word is His will and will, the blue print, the assurance I have, my title deed, the substance of things I hope for the evidence of thing I am yet to see. He will make a table before in the presence of my enemies, anoint my head with oil and my cup shall overflow, to show that He is the Elshaddai, the God who is more than enough. (Psalm 23: 4-6). And His Spirit is my Strenghtner, Standby, Advocate and Intercessor, praying for me according to the perfect will of God. In my weakness He makes His strength perfect, enabling me to leap over a wall, and run through a troop.
Glory be to the great and mighty God for the great and mighty things He has done, is doing and will do.
