To Live Life, As You’ve Taught Me
a tribute to parents
To live life as you’ve taught me, I’ll never stray.
To recall those words of wisdom, in moments of indecision,
To trust the values implanted through experience.
To know you’re loved, when the world around you crumbles,
A strong shoulder, even though you’re grown.
Oh, the esteem, I’ve garnered with your love and support,
To live life as you’ve taught me.

My parents have touched my life in so many ways. As kids, I don't know that we always appreciate them. But there have been some dark and painful seasons in my adult life when God has really opened my eyes to the treasure my parents are ... that strong shoulder when my world crumbles. I know I've been blessed, with parents whose love of the LORD remains a channel of hope and encouragement to me. Be blessed.
