Written 11-19-05

With sword of God in our hands,
We stand for truth, found in our Christ;
As acts of faith, follow His commands,
For He is Lord, by His sacrifice;

Our heads are covered with His salvation,
Breasts beat beneath His righteousness;
Truth, our girding, by reconciliation,
Our weapon, His love, by which we bless;

His peace is our own firm footing,
For we stand upon His grace;
We’ll live for Him, to our undoing,
To find our place, before His face;

‘Til then, we lock our shields together,
And fare the war, our faiths combined;
We encourage each other to stand the weather,
Our faiths, like gold, we’ll find refined;

From our hope, patience is borne,
We stand the fire, with diligence;
We find our strength in heaven’s Horn,
And Christ in heart, is brought hence;

With wisdom as mother, and meekness her son,
We bear the fruit of God’s great Spirit;
Relinquishing our will, we’re made undone;
We find God’s nature, and are brought near it;

So if you see us, with love for each other,
You see the mark our Jesus left us;
With joy for each sister, hope for each brother,
We are saved, raised from the dust.
