On a hill there lies a lilly
who was born beneath a tree
God created this lilly
so that every man could see

As the lilly grows, her beauty shows
and she longs to share her love
As her grace flows, the lilly knows
she's a gift from God above

On a hill there sighs a lilly
as she waits impatiently
for a short time lives the lilly
but she wants all men to see

As the sun sets, the lilly glows
in moonlight the lilly gleams
And of this lilly no man knows
but she's in each of their dreams

On a hill there cries a lilly
weeping underneath a tree
for the beauty of the lilly
not one man has come to see

On a hill there dies a lilly
who has lived her life alone
and the beauty of this lilly
slowly dies with her, unknown
