I took those baby steps of faith,
And fell so many times.
But there was Father, to pick me up.
So thankful, He is mine.

In the comfort of His arms,
He laid me down to rest.
Preparing me for another day,
When I could stand the test.

What transition it then became,
To walk from faith to faith.
Not trusting in mine own ways,
But trusting in His grace.

My baby faith has grown a lot,
Since I've become a man.
But still I need my Fathers' care.
He holds me in His Hand.

My faith is now much stronger than,
When I was a babe in Christ.
I know in whom I have believed,
Who paid the ransom price.

Faith is the victory I have,
My Father gives it free.
I've trusted in The Truth, The Life,
The Way, my Liberty.

I step out afresh each day,
My faith is now increased.
My Fathers' love is with me still.
It shall never cease.

So babe in Christ, rejoice, I say,
Take those steps and grow.
Knowing that your Father
Is with you as you go.

Face your new tomorrows
With the strength He gives
Remember He’ll never forsake you
He lives! He lives! He lives!
