A goal to touch a soul

Lend an ear and help a friend - old hat, or novice fresh and new.

Big Welcome sign, a Beacon, calls to passers-by who
Stop to laugh or cry or ask, “ Which way? I’m lost – how do you get from here to there?”
(We share).
Faithwriters has become a place to meet and rest and play,
Trying rusty, clipped, or wobble-wings while
Brandishing that writing sword
Knowing other wordsmith pals are on firm ground cheering us
We fly in faith like eagles soar.
(We stay in Prayer).
This beloved nook for ayes or nays echoes bitter sweetness of a
Change to grow, a yearning for the times before.
The fellowship - the tears or slips twixt cup and lip - the laughter rolling on the floor…
Thank you loving hearts that reach to writers of the Faith
For giving places we can post: To boast, or roast, or toast our siblings in the things that matter most
Like soldiers fighting for the cause through open lines we’re all in one accord
But pause a moment looking back, a little sad,
Then marching on in purpose–boots
Not stopping now for tea or talk we happily salute

Linda, I loved this. I'm joining with you to salute the old board and all that it has been. I loved this line you wrote, "Trying rusty, clipped, or wobble-wings." Isn't that so true! You're a blessing. Love, Deb
