Reflecting
You want more than my hand to a pen, pen to the paper, and my thoughts to a sheet
You want more than an attendant on Wednesday, Bible student on Saturday, and a Church goer on Sunday
You want more than a lengthy prayer in the Morning,
More than a song with a "perfect" voice,
More than the words of the hymns of old-
You require more than what I've given,
You desire more than what I do,
You want more of who You died for-
You want all of me loving all of You
You want more of me to be humble, and in humility to pray; in prayer to seek Your face and truly turn from my wicked ways
You want more than me just talking about Your love, but walking in Your love; and through experiencing Your love, sharing Your love;
You want more than Your good preachers stirring me up,
You desire to give me more than money so I'm truly living it up,
You require more than tithes- nothing's really mine.........I should be giving it up-
You want all of me loving all of You;
Or must I be reminded that all of You loves all of me, that's why You gave Your Son for me
You want more than my mainstream Christianity, far from all the hypocrisy, and along no lines of mediocrity;
You want more than my cup half emptied............or should I really say half filled-
Any way I look at it- over flowing is Your will;
You want my life crucified so I can find it,
I sin but you've called me into repentance I don't have to hide it,
you've plan for the next level...............there's a ladder called obedience, but it's my choice to climb it;
You want all of me to embrace all of You
A relationship reaching no plateau;
Father, You have not forsaken the works of You hand- You haven't left me;
Until now, You kept me;
But it's the keep on keepin in You that.............that..............I'm reflectin'
It's the keeping on submitting to You that gets me;
You want all of me or nothing
didn't You say..................
You want that sweet aroma that "burning" of my "flesh" everyday?
Lord, if I forget thee, let my right hand forget it's skill,
It'll mean nothing anyway;
'Cause you want more for me-
You want me to be like Your Son;
Yes You've called me into Son ship-
As a witness-
And though my flesh awaits political correctness,
I'm destined for Christ-likeness;
You want me to be like Jesus
My greatness example
Time- You've given me ample
But now I may choose to snack on an apple
Or eat the Bread of Life-
Should I really think twice?
Or think once but choose right.....................
