Hope Deferred

Waiting
with a tiny hope
in a long
icy eye lash winter,
longing for
the drops to thaw.
Instead,
my heart sinks;
dips under the sea
and awaits to be
buoyed by the Son.
Still,
no tree,
just a mirage or two
or three
through years & years.
But,
listen,
a warm front enters
revealing the pool
of prophetic utterance.
There, I enter in
with ease
watching the ripples
following the twigs of
tongues
to the healing leaves of
interpretation
to the fruit of
fearless love.
All the while
anchored down deep
by the apostolic ministry.
My desire has come
by those who desired more
and broke through
with rising branches of
the breaker anointing.
