Faith
Today is my birthday, and oh, what a happy day. You see, when I was a kid my mother was very excited on my birthday, and she instilled in me that same excitement. We would jump around and sing and just have a great time. I still carry that excitement today when October 28th rolls around. I am just a big kid at 38 years old. I was jumping around the house with my 22 month old this morning and singing, of course.
We should have that same excitement about our spiritual birthdates or at least, when we tell someone how long we have been saved from the enemy’s clutches. Some of us have been delivered from various things, such as drugs, alcohol, sexual sins, anger, and rebellion. And some of never went through those things but we rejoice because our eyes were opened to the light of God’s love for us. I gave my life to Christ in June of 1985, and it has been an incredible journey.
So, rejoice! Rejoice when you think about salvation, and rejoice when you tell your story. Give God the praise.
