There was this concern that came one day
which I found to be very true
And the thought said, look in the mirror
tell me who do you see, but you

Is it that friend you've known so long
is it my ex or the new loves I see
Are they really the reason for my problems
or is it just little O' me

Can dad or mom stop me from being the best
do I allow others to control my life
So what if they do always, put me down
I can refuse to hovel any strife

Stop and take a good look into the mirror
and tell me what do you see;
Now who holds the power to your life
well the answer, lies with me

For you are the one who holds the key
that can open or close the door;
So I encourage you to take that step
and I'd help you seek for more

Don't allow anyone to shake your world
and water down your self-esteem;
Hold your head up high and claim the sky
and make your hopes become a dream
