The snowball effect of “No God”

The schools and universities of America are reaping their educational investments more than they can ever possibly imagine. Our students are being placed in a curious predicament. They are receiving pressure from home, school, and society to become “good citizens”, but these same establishments are not providing any blueprints, and guidelines in which these kids are suppose to align themselves with. In fact quite the opposite is true. America’s youth are being told by their scholastic leaders that there is no absolute truth, no sovereign moral framework. Sure not directly, but just as effectively nonetheless. Our students are being educated in their science class that they are nothing more than products of matter, energy, and time. A well-evolved animal that is quite fortunate to be smart enough to survive. Their philosophy teachers are telling them that we are free to create our own truths and morals simply because there no moral law-giver. That God doesn’t exist since there is no logical proof of HIM evident in our time. Their English teachers teach them literature on Buddhism and Communism, but stay away from fundamental Christian teachings that founded the very nation their curriculum is based on. History professors preach about the role of religion back then, but eludes that since we now have come to a phase in time that education is so prevalent, that there is no need for such “foolish” things. Oddly enough, religious tolerance is not tolerant with Christianity. The faculty discourages personal prayer and prohibit its public expression. And as the impressionable young minds start to plot their own courses, they find themselves in a difficult crossroads. Society’s pressure to be moral people cause them to struggle to add up a faulty equation: “ if there is no God, and I came out of an accidental mutation of animals, and my truth is up to me, then what is stopping me from doing what I want to do and doing away with myself in the end when I don’t like the outcome?” Sadly this is exactly what we see.

Since the slow movement away from God, America has found itself in the most difficult moral times it has ever seen. We have seen a true snowball effect. We are in the middle of it. We are living in a time where the KKK is allowed to preach a gospel of hate under the protection of the “freedom of speech”, but an old woman is not permitted to distribute gospel tracks outside of school grounds. Teen pregnancies and divorces are at an all-time high. Violence and crime have sky-rocketed. And as we progress towards a moral decline, the media has found the whole situation comical, even profitable as standard of television censorship loosens its grip and begin to portray sex and violence to be glamorous, chic- even hip. We live in a time where it is far more righteous to protect the water and trees than be “narrow-minded” and say abortion is wrong.

It began with the removal of God from school. We cannot deny that if there is no God and evolution is the truth, we as people are free to do anything we please with no fear of consequence. Morality is merely a tool to attempt to make us behave for a time. Without God, there is no true enforceable morality and we are free to pursue our own pleasures. And with evolution being true, there is no true purpose in life. Society will explode with the individual pursuit of power and gain. There is no way to stop the push of the moral envelop as how can you justify denying a pedophile’s pleasure after allowing two men to marry? How can we justify punishing a murderer when all he did was follow a morality that was right to him?

The thin end of the wedge has been placed in the small gap and now it’s being pounded in place with a heavy hammer. Soon it will be in place, permanently cutting off the circulation of our people. The families will feel it first as the definition of family becomes forever altered, as same sex marriages become more and more socially accepted. This will then give way to more misguided youth who become more troubled adults. We will find that our own openness and “tolerance” has given way for death to enter in our blood stream. Aristotle quoted that “ the least initial deviation [from the truth] is multiplied later a thousand-fold ”. How true. Our society has adopted the most deadliest way of life: compromise. The same lukewarm attitude that Jesus says warrants being spat out has become the norm.
