Lord, we really do believe
Everything You say
Yet, often, we stop short
When we seek help and pray.
We timidly approach You
And mutter our requests
But, it seems that we're afraid
To put You to the test.
You've taught us about miracles
And we know that they are true.
Still, we hesitate to ask…
We should be trusting You.
Somehow, we don't feel worthy
So, we alter our requests.
But these modified petitions
Won't let You give us Your best.
If we want to see Your power,
The Word tells us what to do.
'Praying it safe' is not the answer -
We must believe You through and through.
