When David went out to face the giant Goliath
he only took five stones and a sling
He went in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel
so he didn't have to fear one thing

Now we too have some giants in our lives
that do need to come down;
And since Jesus became, the chief corner stone
they too can fall to the ground

When the battle is ever put in God's hands
then it becomes over and done;
And the flesh didn't have to say one word
for that battle has been won

David had the spirit of God upon him
that is why he had no fear;
And the faith he had in his Lord and God
had made his steps draw near

The anointing can do what the flesh can't do
it can stop things in it's tracks
And all we have to do is just stand still
let the word prove these facts

We have to lose our minds and shut it off
tell our thoughts get out the way;
So the spirit of the Lord can have free course
and it's better to let it have it's say

There won't be no guessing, poking or joking
and it will never miss one beat;
I'd hit the right spot, and be on time
and that need, it will meet

The anointing will zoom straight to the heart
and tell you in what's in there;
It will point right to, whatever the problem
no matter, when, why or where

Like David are we not a free agent for the Lord
that he can make us to be diverse;
With a little bit here, and a little bit there
in this open wide universe

For whenever we are under the anointing
it will lead our steps where to go
Sometime places that, the flesh may refuse
and this too it will know

But whatever be the calling that he gave you
pray, to stay faithful with it;
And if there be any promotions, wait on him
for he knows where you will fit
