Those words reverberated in my mind the other day as I clung to my self-constructed cross of pity and shame, self-inflicted torture that became my confederate
On my way down the seemingly neverending, well-trodden but invisible path, the trail of the internal bleeding of others at the blazing speed of darkness.
I added to it. It seems I knew my own way.
No map or guidance from others needed, I carry the universal map of life and death in my heart.
Emotional, I thankfully mourned my own self-destruction that extends back and beyond the time of my own memory, those eternal words a welcome cogitation for a paradoxical heart:
"Father, forgive him, for he knows not what he does."
Those words were meant for me just the same as the ones who crucified him that day.
The horrors of the world are not carried out by the will of the sinner, but that of a righteous, living God.
The horrors of the world are not carried out by the actions of a righteous God, but by the actions of the sinner, one life, one death, one individual at a time;
A perpetuating tragedy from one generation to the next, the passing on, the passing over, reluctantly, even unwillingly conferred past mistakes of past choices to be solved, but instead continued indefinitely by the next group of miserable failures, the future of the defiant will of the ignorant.
Melancholy holds hands as it romantically walks with the carnal cynic.
We are all made in His image, however distorted that image may be in this present contorted world.
My despair is not that the world is tragic, but the tragedy of the (Christian) world is that I despair because it is so beautiful, but made ugly by others so uncomfortably the same as myself in their own unique way.

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Life is the most beautiful death I can possibly imagine, tragedy the most beautiful form of life in this present world;
For without tragedy, there is no salvation, and without salvation, there is no hope, and without hope, there is no life.
My lips begin to dance, tears fight for freedom, and this time they are not released only to be imprisoned again by infinite sadness, but released to hope for the imminent actualization of true freedom: the freedom of eternal joy.
