The Fruit of Love

Along the narrow path of love
There is one who watches from above
He spreads his wings
And gathers his fruit
And is gentle as a dove

A good tree brings forth beautiful fruit
With flavors fit for a King
Pruned for a life of abundance
There is nothing I can’t achieve

As long as I obey the Lord
My Fruit will remain
To glorify my Father
Ask what I will in Jesus name

A fruit and its colors are easily known
Sharing Gods love and his Amazing grace
Visiting the sick, giving to the poor
Spreading Gods love door to door

I’m held to the vine by a beautiful thread
Not made of earthly string or twine
His promises to me are yes and amen
And they are good all the time

Each tree in the woods bears its kind
Delivering fresh produce to the vine
We must be sure to hear those words
Welcome Home, come and dine.

We must stay on the vine of the Godly tree
Not quick to slumber or sleep
Less we be plucked from the vine
And thrown into the deep

Can we bear the fruit of the spirit?
Joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness,
Faithfulness, gentleness, self control
We must spread the wonderful story of Jesus
And that story will never grow old.
