A TIME OF REST
A time of rest is needed when we become stressed, over tired and over worked. If we don’t make time for rest we will become sad, depressed, emotional and much more.

God says in His word to come to Him and He will give us rest. We are often touched by things others say and do and those who show God’s love. Are you in that category?

Do you apply yourself, your time and choose your words wisely? Are you sure God is pleased with your actions? Do you often pray for guidance? Continue to do that!

When we need rest in our physical bodies, we also need rest from the stress and turmoil we struggle with inside. Our stomach churns and we often feel ill because we have been burdened with the problems of life and this world. Our closest friends have confided in us and we know we have to just pray over it all but still we are tossed about and turning to the point our bodies take the toll.

God wants to bring us rest and peace, not conflict and turmoil. It’s up to us to rely on Him and believe what He says to have that result. In times of sorrow, He is there even when we may turn against Him, curse Him or feel hopeless. He is only a prayer away and we need to have the faith it takes to call on Him.

How strong is your faith? How vast is His love? It is truly beyond our comprehension. Why do bad things happen to good people? I’m tired of those who become discontent that begin blaming God! God is the one who wants the very best for us and yet we blame Him?? Sometimes this continues for years with bitterness and unhappiness. Don’t hold it in too long, the ulcers will eat you away and your health will fail!

Think about that------God is the one in whom we should put our trust not our accusations. There is a reason and purpose for everything that happens throughout our lives and we won’t know the answers until we meet God face to face. I doubt when we get to Heaven we will spend all of our time asking God questions. Instead, we will rejoice!!!

Today let us find rest in God, take time to pray, be there for a friend in need and remember God loves us and is only a prayer away!
