Walking

When I walk down the street
Should I have noticed you
With your hair like coal, as
You majestically walked my way
Should I have noticed your
Sparkling eyes which held a
Warmth in a funny kind of way
Should I have listened to your
Words that seemed so powerful
As they scored my ears along the way
Should I have observed your
Hands, with the scares you bore
So that I’d meet you
As you came along my way.
Where ever I walk, you are
Always in view Lord.
