Faith

---

It is the anointing for waiting and waiting like Noah, even when nothing is coming- letting God be God, regardless of circumstances, going to the cross even if it is painful.
It is the faith that praises and sings to God even when the fig tree does not blossom and there is no cattle in the stall.

17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Saviour.
19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he enables me to go on the heights.


It is not a faith for getting stuff and stuff and more stuff.
It is a faith about a relationship that is not affected by what I get or not get.
It is the faith that continues to witness even when you are being stones and even praying for those who are stoning you like Stephen. (Acts7)

57At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, 58dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." 60Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.

It is a faith that puts its life on the line like Esther saying,” If I perish, I perish.”
If I die, let me die. I would rather die believing than live in unbelief and doubt.
I would rather die trusting in the goodness, the faithfulness of God; the surpassing wisdom of God who works everything together for the good of those who love Him.
Some people He takes out of situations; some He takes through circumstances-waters, fires, valleys etc. He knows what is best for them. He has a good plan for them regardless of what they go through.

Some died without receiving the promise, yet they believed till the end.

6Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. 37They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.
39These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
It is the faith like Shadrach Meshach and Abednego that says to the King We refuse to bow to your idol. Our God will deliver us but even if He does not we will rather die trusting than compromise to be spared.
Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. 22 The king's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.
24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, "Weren't there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?"
They replied, "Certainly, O king."
25 He said, "Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods."
26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, "Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!"
So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, 27 and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.
28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king's command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. 29 Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way."
Their faith was not inferior, but even of a higher quality.
That is the faith delivered rediscovered.
