Help me NOT divert my eyes to others'
Faults...imagined sins
Let me spend the time that I'd do so
Examining within.
May I have the strength and courage, Lord,
To be as I should be;
Criticizing NOT my neighbor,
But looking hard at me!

I find it's easy...just to judge
Another's willful deeds;
While MY quiet and stately 'garden's'
Being overrun with weeds.
Let me focus on my own backyard
Ordain some order there,
Get on my knees for ALL of us
And lift us up in prayer!

We may never know the circumstance
That makes 'them' as 'they are,'
For all we know they're 'much improved'
And that they've traveled far
Along a path WE may not know
Or ever have to face;
Don't keep them down...be patient...
Reach out and share HIS grace!
