Character and Gifts

I wonder, is it the strong will within a man that causes him to stand on
his Own two feet or is it the unadulterated power of God available at his weak-
est point? I find that God’s working within my heart is of a great benefit un-
to me. I understand what it means that a man’s thirst continues even after
his desires are met.

His ideas and thoughts of fulfillment are all paper thin. There’re like phant-
oms that are here today and gone away tomorrow. My mind can never under-
stand completely the full purpose of God, nor can I comprehend His work in my
heart from beginning to end. I love the joy of God the Father and I thirst for
the likeness of His Christ.

My heart is sure an unreliable source to draw from. One must learn to turn
his or her face towards the throne when brutalized by relentless trials that mol-
est the mind and try to rob your spirit’s vision. Challenged at all points, the
trying of the soul and the intensions of the heart are weighted by the values of
a righteous God.

And foolishness within one’s self is never far from the mind’s eye. Some shine like the moon through their gifts; Others shine like the sun through their
character. Character is a solid rock. A person’s gift is temporal and hollow.
Character is real and authentic. Gifts are temporary and cannot always be relied
on.

Character is the goal of God within one’s heart. The gifts of the Spirit flow
only by God’s divine grace. Character is gold, silver and diamonds. Gifts are
nickels, dimes and copper pennies. Character is God’s illuminating person shining
within the human spirit. Gifts are given and very inspirational.

Gifts are the outter shell of a man, but character is the man within the man.
Gifts flow by inspiration and grace. Character births the jewels of the eternal
Godhead fashioned in the hearts of the submitted. Gifts are the release of mercy
by the hand of God. Character is God. Gifts are joyous and lovely. Character is
one’s heavyweight of eternal glory.

Gifts are activated. Character is manufactured. Its not always good for a
man to hide behind his gifts when godly character is at an all time low within
his person. When the soul tastes the truffles of sweet wisdom, no matter a small
or great portion, it brings strength and a sensation to the whole body. Like the
touch of honey on the tongue of the craving; so is a little wisdom to the one
who thirst for knowledge.

Gifts are like electricity which arrows touch and charge the soul. Character
is the judgments, decisions and thoughts of a majestic King. Everlasting character
is the charge to my soul from the God on high. Character must be the thrust
behind the government and leadership that is God appointed. True character is the
result of the tested, the faithful and the steadfast.

And so, my feet are pointed towards Heaven’s path. The way is unpredict-
able and perilous. Days of unfairness and relentless night will confront without
mercy the souls of the true saints. Cry out like a wise warrior should; Be stead-
fast, repenting and forgiving. Christ within me the hope of glory, is my joy, my
victory and the morning star of my heart’s full desire.

Let the gifts fall be the wayside, and let counterfeit Christianity loose itself
from my soul forever. I desire the expression, the attitude and the heartbeat of the everlasting One. Oh, let me not fail You, Oh God, for my heart cries out
still! Keep me in the palm of Your hand; Change me by fire, prove me by love
and anoint me by the power of Your strength. Then I shall go from trial, to
glory, to likeness; And thy days shall fashion me and I shall be yours forever.
