The Measure of a Man

It is good for a man to look inside of himself to see if there be
anything of lasting value and purpose that lies dormant within his per-
son. A man is a product of God’s wonderful creation. He is to be a
leader, an example, and a loving influence to his children and family.
Although unperfected and never exempt from his sinful nature, the godly
potential within him has in essence, its own mystery. The cry within his
heart has its purpose and meaning in his call from God. Wanting to be
the best and succeed as a father, husband and family man must be known
in Heaven above and answered from God alone. I am prayerful to God
for His grace and sovereign help that will accommodate my soul to
be what He has called me to be. The measure of a man is filled with
the dreams and treasures of a brighter and more glorious tomorrow. To
look within yourself can be a scary thing to most. A man of respon-
sibility, respectful and respected among all is uncompromising towards
the things concerning godliness. Help me to be accurate in speech and
pure in thought before God and all men. Good character with a sound
mind is good and acceptable before God above.

The purpose of a man is to worship God and to stand at awe be-
fore His Christ. Hopelessness and delayed promises will challenge a man’s
heart faithfully from season to season. It is wise for a man to not lean
on his own understanding and cry out before God for his life. To excel
as a father, a husband and a consistent leader for all that which is good
is hard work to say the least. Manhood must be real, authentic and bear
good fruit. Jealousy I hate, sin I detest, like a ferocious lion it tears and
prowls with its venomous delights upon all the good intensions of my soul:
That crafty lion, unpredictable in all his ways and relentless with every de-
structive blow. Stability in righteousness equals patience, godliness and a
valiant faithfulness unto God and his family. A man, being born not of
his own will, but out of the mind and will of God must learn to bear the
years of adversity that will try to topple his very life and every hopeful
purpose.

The value of a man is graceful: Like priceless sparkling diamonds
and every precious stone consumed with the liquid sun, accompanied by
shafts of light in and throughout. Amber equals the kindness of the heart;
amethyst equals temperance for the mind; chrysolite equals patience from
within; jasper for wisdom of spirit; sapphire is his peace in godliness;
carnelian is his ability to be hopeful; emerald equals the longsuffering that
he’s learned to bear; sardonyx is for forgiveness that is prominent to all
offences; sardius is a hero’s jewel, for his consistent steps through each day;
ruby equals gentleness within his right hand and in his left; beryl is his
goodness that reflects the son’s face; topaz equals ability to be broken be-
fore Him that calls Himself God; adamant is the love that he sheds to all
men; jacinth equals joy, which is the product of all his good labor; pearls
are for peace which comes from trusting God’s infallible word; diamonds
equals his stamina and virtue; silver in humility poured over the heart and
evident before God and His Christ and gold equals the measure of a man’s
value in the sweetness of his spirit.

A man is priceless and valued by the judgments of a righteous King.
A man’s heart is not his own, but to God alone belongs his very life. Thank
God for the blood of Jesus that takes away my sin. A man has a lot of re-
sponsibility to God and his family. God holds the reed that measures a man’s
true value. And with much certainty, he is the glory of a merciful God. Help
me, Oh God; For with great value comes a great price. I present to you a
leader, refined in the fires of adversity, a provider and a great example with
all faithfulness, baptized in the helps and graces of God. He is the man: ac-
countable, humble, repenting and trustworthy; With all love for his family and
children. Let grace come down to me as the rain and mercy like a vast water
fall, with all cleanness and purity to my unworthy prayerful soul, measured by
the value of God’s unlimited kindness. So here’s to God, to His Christ and
to His precious Holy Spirit, who will, with great success, complete the man
in me.
