The harvest of your life is coming

Charles Kettering said, "We should all be concerned about the future because we will have to spend the rest of our lives there." Do you think about the future in light of the words and actions that are planted for future harvest there? Let's look at some ways in which this is true:

Relationshhips--- Are you working on building your relationships each day or are they just happening? If you were to construct a building in this manner, it would not be standing long. The words and actions you put into your daily relationships will bring a harvest for better or worse for years to come. Are you prepared for these results? If you never told someone about your faith, would they know?

Children--- What kind of example have you set with them? Did your word mean what was said? Was your anger doled out in verbal abuse or worse? Our chiidren carry around the consequences or "fruit" of how they were treated for the rest of their lives. Did your example honor God or something else?

Business--- How did you conduct the business of your life, contracts and other legal obligations? Could people see you were a Christian by the way you conducted your business? If you had an enterprise of your own, did you treat everyone fairly without prejudice? How we treat others in our personal and business dealings reflects what we really believe, not just what we say.

These are but three of the many areas of our lives where who we are is defined by how we speak and act. Ask God to help you in these and other dimensions of your life.
