Written 8-29-05

That which injured Me
Was payment for your sin;
My wounds made you free,
With mercy to take you in;
My precious foreign object,
Contrary to My nature,
I pour on you all My grace,
With My divine nacre.

This precious flow
That I lavish on My love;
Is My princely nature,
Poured from above;
I am reforming you,
To be what elates Me;
To radiate all My light,
Reflecting all My beauty

With joy set before Me,
I endured the cursed cross;
As My life dripped from Me,
I knew there was no loss;
For you will be right here,
Where I am now;
To come and worship Me,
My presence to make you bow.

The powers of heaven will see,
All My manifold wisdom,
In this Bride of Mine,
To reign with Me in heaven;
It is then that you will know
Why I held such passion;
To save you for My own;
And suffer condemnation.



Author's Note:
"...the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it."--Matthew 13:45-46
(A pearl is formed when a foreign object is introduced into it. When the object injures the pearl, it responds by secreting nacre, to make the object less painful in its presence. The nacre then turns the object into a beautiful pearl.)
