Encouragement
AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Often I think of many who are hurting or have chronic problems they can do nothing about. Perhaps it is an illness or just a hurting heart because they have been wronged somehow. Then I change my thinking to an attitude of gratitude!
It is much better to be thankful each day for your possessions, your health, your family and friends than to be constantly complaining not to mention the friends you did have, will stop associating with you!
Use your valuable time to invest in the lives of others, smile when you can, encourage along the way and most of all to serve God. That is the best attitude of gratitude you can have by living your life in communion with God.
There is much to be thankful for – MUCH! Never hesitate to thank God for your day as you rise and put your feet on the floor. Even if you are in pain, upset or discouraged, you are still here and though you may not be happy, you are still blessed in many ways! Keep that outlook and keep it daily and it will give you a balance of praise to God and love toward others.
Want friends? Give them time and an attitude of gratitude. Tell them thanks for being your friend and remember special times you had together. Make an effort to keep in touch with them and listen willingly to them. A smile goes a long ways but if you can’t see them to give them a smile, call them or write a letter.
In the Bible I am reminded of the lepers. God healed 10 lepers that were covered from head to toe with ulcers and sores from leprosy and only 1 out of those 10 returned to thank HIM! Are we like that? Do we ask God for things and promise things and never do them and never get them because God knows our heart? Are we ungrateful? Do we forget to say thank you? Do we moan and complain instead?
As we think of those in the military, let us also be thankful they are serving to protect our country and never forget to pray for them each and every day until they return home safely.
Today determine that you will have an attitude of gratitude and enjoy the rest of your day! Make a difference!

I love reading this. It inspires me to be thankful even for little things I used to take for granted. For the Lord is the Creator of them all. Blessings! Gloria
