Retreat to Advance.
Come apart and rest.
Recline on My Breast,
That you come not apart.

Give time for refilling
Give time for refuelling.
Create time for recreation.
Give time for reflection,
And a time for rejuvenation.
Give time for replenishment,
Ready for great accomplishments.

Retreat to Advance.
Like the goat that retreats
To gather strength for the fight.
Avoid rut and decay.
Watch and pray.
Coming away is the right way;
Away from the hustle and bustle.
Enough of the needless struggles.
It’s time to take stock.
Time enquire of the Rock.

Jesus retreated to advance.
Retreating to the desert,
He came back in power;
In spite of the dark hour.
Esther retreated to seek My face,
And she obtained My grace
Mary retreated to Jesus’ feet
And chose the best part in her retreat.
Moses retreated and was transformed,
Glowing with the glory of the Holy.
Retreat, to go from glory to glory.

Retreat to advance.
Get the right balance.
Give yourself a treat
From a retreat,
Then you will do a great feat,
Mounting up from any defeat.

..those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.(Isa.40:31)
