Note: This piece is offered with love to help those who are seeking 'tranquility' in the midst of the fast pace of today's world.

How can I accomplish it all?
When will the rushing end?
Everyone wants a part of me!
On whom can I depend?

Each minute of my busy day
Is filled with errands and tasks.
When activities call me away from home
I put on a happy 'mask'.

I have to accomplish everything -
Isn't that what life is about?
But, I admit there are many days
When I want to scream and shout!

"I've got to stop this crazy ride!
I need some time to breathe!
I can't keep up this hectic pace
For I'm ready to explode as I seethe."

In order to fit everything in
I have to push some things aside
And then I feel neglectful.
Am I doing all this out of pride?

Wait…let me stop and think some more.
What would God want me to do?
Chaos and confusion are not of Him!
Oh, how can I get through?

I must stop fighting this battle
As I strive to get everything done!
For struggling is the cause of the pressures
And that battle will never be won.

I need to find some quiet time
And pray with all my heart.
For I know God has a plan for me
And I want to do my part.

My goals always seemed important
But if they are not in God's plan,
I need to rethink my focus
And turn to God and not man.

For only when God is my center
Will I feel a real peace within me.
And, when I give Him back my life
I will find tranquility.

Peggy,Powerful anointed poem filled with words of Love and Encouragement. Jesus set time aside to be with His Father ,how much more we the Adopoted Sons and Daughters of God need that Quiet time with our Lord daily and to walk in the Power of the Holy Spirit moment by moment as we seek His Holy Face."I think of that famous song,"Turn Your eyes upon Jesus"

Peggy sent me this poem by e-mail at a perfect time, when I was so busy "doing" instead of "being", even too busy doing church activities that I almost lost my focus. This beautiful poem written by Peggy inspired me to slow down and be still before God. It blessed me so much that I told her to send it to Faithwriters. Indeed, tranquility of heart and mind only comes when we focus on God. Thank you again for sharing, Sis! Love, Gloria

Peggy, as usual, your writing is a poetic spear that pierces the heart of the reader. I know God is speaking to us in unison. My recent posting "The Lord is My Shepherd" is a teaching that agrees with what you wrote in this very anointed poetry. With much love (and thanks), Joyce

Peggy, this speaks volumes! When we have so much to deal with on a daily basis, it can become our focus, instead of foucusing on the One in whom there lies the tranquility we so desperately need. Beautiful job Peggy! Love, Sharon
