Let no man say when he is enticed,
That they are being tempted by God;
As it is not possible for God or Christ,
For they are neither weak nor flawed.

Since God can not be tested by evil,
And never puts any man to the test;
But evil is only the work of the devil,
Who thoroughly enjoys such a quest.

Everyone is tested when they detour,
From some attraction of their desire;
Then as the time comes for the lure,
The birth of a sin will light its fire.

When the sin becomes fully grown,
It shall also give birth to your death;
Since God will be leaving you alone,
At the time of your last dying breath.

Do not be down hearted or dismay,
For unto you an opportunity is given;
When you confess your sins this day,
God will give you a ticket to Heaven.
