Encouragement
Why do the righteous suffer?
Ask Job- the eye to the blind,
Bread basket to the poor
Albeit righteous, the rich brought to drags;
From grace to disgrace, riches to rags,
Raved, damaged, devastated in one day;
Infested with boils, greeted with bad news
Upon bad news, upon bad news.
His breath and his praise
Became offensive to his wife.
‘Curse God and die’, she said.
But he gave reckless praise instead,
“Though he slays me, yet will I trust Him.
I know my Redeemer lives.
When He has tried me,
I shall come forth as gold.â€
I shall doubt my doubt
And believe my beliefs
In my flesh, I shall rise
And see Him on that day.
No more moaning, groaning and complaining;
Ever on the complain counter.
God is good all the time
And all the time, God is good.
He is with me in the valley that I go through.
He is with me on the mountain top that He brings.
That attitude led to great altitude.
God was blessed and the devil distressed.
God was pleased and the devil displeased.
God was armed and the devil disarmed.
Job prayed for his tormenting fomenting friends
And his woes and throes came to an end.
God became his friend in the end.
His captivity was held captive.
He was blessed super abundantly.
His attitude had brought the zenith of altitude.
