The Last Word
The time of judgment draws near,
Let no one be deceived, it comes quickly,
Even as the day follows the night,
So is the Lord's light,
It shall shine forth in the darkness,
And evil shall end and be no more.
Woe is upon man, for now is the coming of the night,
And darkness shall reign in the hearts of man,
Drawn away so simply, to play the harlot,
With evil in the eye, and lust in the heart.
Down shall fall the light of man's heart,
Down to the depths of hell, and the pit that awaits.
The crevices opens at the feet of him, to destroy,
To swallow whole the vileness of the world.
Cleanse thyself O man, if thou know a better way,
Search the word through, build up thy knowledge,
But your words are as the rambling of fools,
You have turned your hearts from the truth,
Seeking the darkness of your lust.
Where is your heart, O prideful man?
Why do your hands stretch out for blood?
Give, Give, you cry aloud,
Yet where is your offering of love unto your God?
What fuel you give for the flames,
The fire is eternal, the pit has no bounds.
Stand boldly now, O fallen man,
Speak of your greatness before God.
How satan laughs at your down cast eye,
Proclaiming your knowledge before simple men,
Those so easily turned to your thought.
Repent now, O fallen man,
Stretch out thy hand,
Even as you sink in the waves of your turmoil.
Reach out to the One true God,
He it is that can save, and He alone.
He is your savior, redeemer, the true light of the world.
Humble thyself before the Father and creator of all,
Cast off thy prideful self, and let it be crucified.
If you can not be clothed in His righteousness,
Do without covering, that all would see your shame.
Know this day and remember,
For the Lord's judgment has come.
You are truly known of Him who made you,
From dust you have come, and so you are.
Do you seek greatness?
Then make yourselves slaves to the lowest of men.
Do you seek to show your own knowledge,
You are as fools, seeking your own,
Seek more so the love of thy Father in heaven.
How is it, O foolish man, standing on you own words,
Standing at the edge of your own destruction,
Yet boldly boast of your greatness before men,
Even before God you stand,
He is the One that judges you,
His judgment is truth.
Has He called you to work, do so humbly,
In love, showing all glory to His name.
Do you have blessings, then praise Him for His mercy.
Do you have trials, praise Him still,
He deems you worthy to overcome.
Why, O downcast man, when you are blessed,
You boast of your greatness before men,
And in trials you shout out of the Lord's rejection.
The time of judgment is come,
He shall gather His own,
And separate the goat from the sheep.
Yet will you shout out, "Lord, Lord,"
Yet only for your own righteousness,
You do your works before men,
Seeking the great praise of your betters.
Cast down my lowly heart, O God, my KING,
Let me be as dust in Your hand once more,
To be molded by the Crafter's hand.
Let my heart know despair, that I would praise You.
Let my soul be as a stone that when the rocks cry out,
I would never cease from calling out your name in glory.
Forgive me, my Father and creator,
Let my pride be in Your word to my heart.
Re new the rightness of Thy Spirit with in me,
That I would never turn from You,
Nor fear the path before my feet.
Make me to walk uprightly in Your way,
Yet be silent before all men.
Let only Your word pass my lips.
And Your vision in my eye,
That I would see only Thy great glory before me.
Let my boasting be only in the sorrow of my heart,
And Your mercy that saw me through.
Praise to Thee my awesome God,
For Thy mercy and grace unto this lowly child.
Praise Thee, O God, my mighty King.
Praise Thee, my Lord.
