COMFORT US
Heavenly Father we kneel before Thy throne and ask that you be with us as and hold our hand as time robs us of our youth.
With hurting bodies and troubled souls we beseech Thee to comfort us as we approach the end of our earthly lives,
We confess our shortcomings and turn our backs on the days that we strived to find peace through the material things of this life.
We long to spend eternity in Your presence and reap the benefits of Your love, compassion, forgiveness, and hope.
Change our hearts and desires so that we no longer put our trust in the material things of this life, but rather we put our trust in Thee.
Be as the north star in our lives, always there to show us in which direction we need to go in order to find the doorway that leads to heaven and spiritual fulfillment.
We, the followers of Jesus Christ have no other place to go but to the foot of the cross and surrender our lives to Thee.
Through this jester remove the fear of dying and comfort our soul as we close our eyes in death, may we awaken to a new life where time will never again rob us of our youth.
The comfort of Your voice will quiet all fears as our eyes behold the beauty of the new world that You have prepared for those who love You
