For days on end my thoughts had strayed
To times when pain and ill prevailed...
When optimism ran its course,
And hoping for the future failed.

And in my time of near despair
A shred of light appeared somewhere
Directing me where life begins
DEMANDING that I live...again!
Now...in new kinship with my Friend
I live...in praise...for days on end.
