ISAAC ENTERS TROLLVILLE

My name is Isaac; I am a three-year-old boy. My mommy says sometimes I am quite coy.

She says I don’t listen to her careful instruction. Instead I seem to cause great destruction.

But a lesson I learned when one night I strayed. She sent me to my room where I stayed and stayed.

I sat on my bed quite mad and huffed up. Then I thought to myself she can’t keep me shut up.

I thought I would sneak out when she wasn’t looking. Maybe I would do it while she was cooking.

I looked out the window and down the hall. Then I heard my mother call,

“Isaac Williams is that you? You’re grounded for one-hour want to make it two”.

So I shut the door quickly and sat on my bed. I felt slightly tired so I lay down my head.

I looked on the floor and guess what I found. A young little troll looking around.

“Hello little troll”, I said looking at him. “What is your name could it be Tim?”

The troll was surprised to see me there. So for a moment all he did was stare.

“I am from Trollville”, he said to me. “My name is Spence I am but three.”

And getting a great idea in my head, I put my feet on the floor and got out of bed.

I said to Spence,” I want to run away. Take me to Trollville and there I shall play.”

“Oh no”, said young Spence with a terrified look, “If you go like that they’ll think you a crook.”

“You must be a troll if you want to get in. So I’ll sprinkle this magic dust on your skin.”

And boy did he ever I was covered in dust. Then Spence said to hurry he said that we must.

“If you are not back before the sun sets. You’ll be a troll forever I do not jest.”

But I did not care I wanted to play. Spence asked me what my mommy might say.

“Oh she won’t care”, I said with a grin, “Now let us make our journey begin.”

So we went off to trollville and had lots of fun. Then I noticed the setting sun.

“Spence”, I said pointing up to the sky, “I must go home now and I think you know why.”

“Of course”, said Spence, “but there is a toll to pay. We must see the troll king I’ll lead the way.”

Once we were there I asked the king this, “May I please go home I have a family I miss?”

But the king said no he wanted me to stay. Oh why oh why did I run away.

“You can’t keep me here”, I said with a yell, “Let me go home or I will tell.”

“There’s no one to tell”, said the troll king to me, “Now listen you young lad of three.”

“I know you miss your mom and dad. I know to see them would make you glad.”

“But I am not able to send you away. Because a toll you first must pay.”

“You must be sorry for the wrong you did and from now on be a good little kid.”

I told him I was wrong to act so bad. And from now on I would listen to my mom and dad.

Just then the troll dust flaked from my head and I realized I was still in my bed.

My mom ran in and switched on my light. I told her I had had such a fright.

I told her of trollville and of the king troll, I told her I had to pay a toll.

Then I apologized for acting so badly. See hugged me and kissed me and smiled at me gladly.

“My dear little boy you never left you bed. The trolls you saw were all in your head.”

“You must have been dreaming now go back to sleep. You must not make a sound not another peep.”

And so she hugged me and kissed me once more. Then she shut my bedroom door.

So a very good lesson I learned on that day, listen to what your parents say.

Always do what they tell you to do or you could end up in trollville too.

That was a very nice story. :) I liked all the rhyming.
