Faith

Your gestures tell me my way is new to you
For I come in peace and stand for what is true
We live and learn as time goes on and on
Send out a smile, and back to you it comes
I will not frown or frown on any frown
Unless evil comes and follows it around
My point would be made, and my guards raised
Then I'll step aside, and let faith take the stage
Power to stand still in the midst of storm
Knowing God's grace will keep me from harm
You may dig a ditch for me to fall in
Your lies may make enemies of my friends
But I'll still stand still 'til the bridge is laid
Then gently walk across the trap you had made
And when it's all over, then you would see
With God on my side, you're no threat to me
