FELLOWSHIP AND FRIENDSHIP ARE GREAT!

Do you have an idea? Whether small or great, it is important to share those ideas with others. You may not think it is anything great or wonderful but sometimes others need you to share with them to enhance their surroundings! Be a good friend and show friendship to them.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin

We are encouraged in the scripture above to have fellowship one with another. Fellowship takes shape in many forms. We can talk, encourage or just listen and hang out. We can also offer advice, share stories and concerns, and prayers. Be a good friend – show yourself friendly!

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

When we take time to be caring and kind, have fellowship one with another, we are pleasing unto God. He sees our hearts. Recently I was conversing with another couple in the mobile home park where I live and was told they were criticized for caring. There is a Wed. morning coffee hour and left over donuts and muffins. They took time to give to shut ins who cannot get out and that was a thoughtful gesture so I told them—God looks at the heart. Don’t worry what man thinks and do it as unto God.

It is wonderful to see the hearts and attitudes of those who care. Those who take time to fellowship and be a friend even over a cup of coffee. The days of life are longer when quality time is invested. Though life is short and you never seem to have enough hours in a day, your day will be more appreciated if you take time to fellowship and love one another.

Today take time to rest and show God’s love over the smallest of things and your reward will be great! Be a friend to someone today!
