so here i am sitting in my dad's office eating chocolate, drinking coffee, staring blankly at the screen...

"Just write", he says, my wise Brazilian mentor...why is it that we get all tied up in knots over issues when the answer is always so simple....just write...im sitting here, gut twisting, forehead furrowed, wondering what to write, and suddenly i realise i'm doing just that...writing!

a bird just flew off course and smacked it's head on my dad's office wall. Scared me for a second, but probably not as much as it scared him, poor stupid bird....i can identify with him, you know. i've flown off course more times than i can count....the first time was when i was a baby, though i guess you could say i didnt have much say in that...

anyway, enough- before i give my juiciest secrets and best story possibilities away to the lowest bidder....
