As I lay me down to sleep,
I pray to you Lord my soul to keep,
And when a new day come for me to see
I can surely say I know you are watching me.


The good I appreciate each and every day,
But it’s the strife and turmoil that leads me to say.
Thank you Lord for your hand of protection,
I can make it through this storm with your direction.

For I know it’s true that you have been watching me,
I am a living witness for everyone to see.
The dangers and problems that have come my way,
Has only provided the opportunity to seek you everyday.

The rain in my life has showered me with grief,
But it was only there to increase my belief.
The thunder, so loud, has injured my hearing,
The enemy I couldn’t hear then ended up fearing.

The lightning so fierce blinded my eyes,
So, I had to increase my faith before the enemy tries.
I was tossed and turned by the waves of destruction.
And now my sinful flesh is under reconstruction.

See, Lord I appreciate everyday you allow me to see.
Because, I know You Are Watching Me.
