Have you ever had a sudden thought that just came out of the blue? The one that hits you between the eyes while you are in the shower, or the one that wakes you in the middle of the night and won't let you get back to sleep?

I realize now that it's been happening since I was a small child. I'd wake up in my room, not afraid, but WIDE awake. I'd try to turn over, but finally get up and walk into my parent's bedroom. Just staring at them without saying a word or touching them? Just stare, about 2 inches from their noses.

Then, as I got older, I'd get up and write letters, or pages and pages in my notebook, it wasn't the "Dear Diary" kind of stuff. I'd just start writing out my thoughts and fears. I guess today they call that "journaling".

As a Young Woman, these early morning awakenings were disturbing, but now I am thankful for wisdom, it's You Lord and yes, I'm Listening.

I'm Listening Lord!!! I'll shout it from the roof tops, becasue since I recognized your "voice" I feel so at peace and excited all at the same time. You are actually talking to ME. Those old fears in the night have become welcome times to sit in the quiet of the house and hear You guiding me when I need it and holding me when I need that too.

Yes, Lord I AM Listening.
