They Just Didn't Get It

He was forsaken
Beaten, spit on and mocked
Yet He asked the Father to forgive them
He was forced to carry a cross
And to wear a crown of thorns
Crucified between two thieves
One represented the world
Denying Jesus all the way
The second depicted the broken hearted
He was aware he needed forgiveness
He got the message of Jesus that day
Called upon Jesus to save his soul
He trusted a dying King
His faith was astounding
Yes he got the message
And a promise to be in heaven
That day and not the next
To bad the other one didn't get it
Or the people that were there that day
Because Jesus loved the world so much
He went to the cross to prove it.
