† Today is the sixth anniversary of my stroke. I celebrate today, not
just because I'm still here and kicking, but without my stroke there
would be no E-Cheer. In His mercy, God gave me E-Cheer as a
ministry to replace those other ministries that I lost because of
physical impairment.

† Today I will go back to my rehab facility and give thanks to those
caring nurses and therapists who so willingly and selflessly helped
me in recovery. I am forever grateful, and I want them to know it.

† It's a shame that all caregivers aren't in our family of faith in Jesus
Christ, but conversely, it's a shame that all those in the body of
Christ do not have a care giver's spirit. Another way to spell
B-i-b-l-e is O-t-h-e-r-s, because God's Word is filled from one end
to the other with admonitions to be caring and concerned for
others. Jesus set the example, and our response should be to
follow that example.

† Matt. 7:12 (nlt) Jesus says it well -- "Do for others what you would
like them to do for you. This is a summary of all that is taught in
the law and the prophets." If you've ever been in the position of
needing a care giver, you can appreciate the importance of this
verse.
