Do you ever hear the call of the wild
Enticingly beckon to you...
"Be part of my gala, and enjoy the nirth!
For once, to yourself, be true."

Recalling such times on the mountain of 'home'
Those sweet. pleasant days as a child,
I looked past the hills, so serene and well-known
And answered the call of the wild.

My plan was 'no plan,' just a change of the scene
To venture through life on the road,
And the call of the wild kept urging me on;
In a while, I was slave to its code.

The years rumble by, then realities reach
To the essence of wandering ways;
Then it's time to forsake all the 'no-plans' you made
Organizing the rest of your days.

Even now there are times, when the heart is attuned
When the soul will refuse to be mild;
The road maps implore and the blood starts to churn...
To answer the call of the wild!
