A long time ago, after I had made my life changing commitment to the Lord, God showed me a vision for my life, which I would now like to share with you.

In my vision, I was standing by a door which led into a room that I knew I must go into. I opened the door, and found myself in a room completely engulfed in flames. Through the flames, on the other side of the room, I saw Jesus standing beside another door. He spoke to me and said, "If you trust me, and walk through the flames, I will take you through this door, and I will show you things that you never dreamed were possible. I will take you places that have never been.

So, I started my walk through the fire. Through this fire, I have cried and begged for God to take me out of it. Sometimes, I have even cried for God to just take me home. Many times, I didn't even feel that God was there anymore.

Then, in my vision, I found myself in the middle of the room. I turned and looked to the right, and there was another door, right beside me. I thought, I could go through this door, and be free. So, I did. And what did I find there? Another room engulfed with flames. Then Jesus once again spoke to me and said, " Sometimes you think you see any easy way out. But it was only a deception, a lie, that the enemy put in front of you. He was only trying to take you off the path to me. You must walk through the fire all the way."

Time passed, and for a long time, I have felt that I was stuck in the middle of the room of fire, and just couldn't get anywhere. I became discouraged, felt that God forgot me. I had even stopped studying my Bible, and quit going to church.

Then, one day, on my way to work, God brought before me the vision that he had given me. I asked him why he had left me in the middle of that room. Why had I felt so alone. I told him that I couldn't go any further. And do you know what he said to me? He said, "I was trying to teach you faith and to show you that your only hope was in me. You can't walk through the fire without me. I waited for you to call for me to come and help you. All you had to do was call out to me, and I was ready to walk into the fire to you, and walk you the rest of the way." Wow, talk about a wake up call!

How many of you are trying to walk through that fire alone?

Isaiah 43:2 says, "when you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you walk through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."
