 The You in Unity

In recent months there has been a lack of unity in the church. Not only in the churches but in our neighborhoods, in the workplace, and even in our own families. We have not been coming together the way we should as Christians. We all want to live according to our own motives and agendas. Stepping over and on, anyone who may get in our way as we strive to reach our destinies. Whatever happened to Unity? Whatever happened to Love? Whatever happened to humbling ourselves before the Lord?

It’s not about pleasing Man. It’s not about defeating man. It’s not about being the best singer, or speaker. It’s about pleasing God. The church is supposed to be ONE BODY in Christ. We are all parts of HIS one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. Romans 12:5.

It’s time to come together for the uplifting of Jesus Christ. It’s time to cleanse our hearts of anything that is not of God. Let’s not let our lives become filled with sin, greed, hate, envy, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, or gossip.The time is now. Remove it all from your heart, now, for there is going to come a day of judgement when God, the just judge of all the world will judge all people according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those
who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds. Romans 2:6-8. He will Judge us all. For God does not show favoritism. Romans 2:11. So why do we fight and disagree on earthly things?

God wants us to live in unity. God wants us to be pure and holy. He wants us (the church) who form many parts to come together, as one, to understand what his will is for the church. How can we seek God as one unit when we can’t get along? It starts with you. You must humble yourself. Remove the pride, for the bible says in Proverbs 16:5, The Lord despises pride; Be assured that the proud will be punished. There’s no room for pride in the church today. We should be coming together, to teach and encourage each other. To share the truth about Jesus
Christ. Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we need to come together to give of our gifts for the building of the kingdom. We can’t point fingers. Jesus is coming back, and we want to be ready. Let’s not get caught with our works undone.

So how can you help? How can you make a change,you ask? By loving. By accepting each other for who we are in Christ. For the bible says in Matthew 6:44-45, Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting, as true children of your Father in heaven. Forgive those who have hurt you. For If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:16.

Unity begins with YOU! Love begins with YOU! Peace begins with YOU! Do YOU know the way? Can YOU Handle the Truth? Are YOU willing to change your life? You can start by knowing that it’s not about YOU, it’s about knowing that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the
Life. With HIS help WE can do all things in Christ who strengthens us. Amen!
