“I asked my Lord for a rose,but instead He gave me a Thorn”

I asked my Lord for a rose,
But instead He gave me a Thorn.

I asked Him Lord why this strange
Gift?and He said to me Lovingly
"I know what is best, my child".

He said “For the rose blooms and fades
away,but the Thorn lasts through out
Your days”

I said Lord “I can only embrace this
strange gift ;This Thorn by Your Grace”

Yes, my Child I heard my Saviour Say,
"Each day You will carry this Thorn
In Your flesh;
and I will be there to Stregnthen and
sustain you all the way”


Oh My Lord I’m beginning to see;
that in The gift of the Thorn;
You are drawing me closer To Your
sufferings; closer to Thee;
and to a secret place
deep inside Your Heart;
were I find peace.

"Yes, My child I heard Him say.
For your strength and peace will be
found in My Grace today as You
embrace your Thorn of suffering."

"The Thorn I have given to you".My Lord
replied;"will one day become a precious
Eternal Jewel ;that will be Placed in your
crown of suffering;
Which you will lay at my Feet;

My precious child;you and I will
Embrace on that Glorious day;
and walk in Heaven on
a Golden Street."
