I have been dating my girlfriend for two years, all long distance up until a week ago when I moved to the same city as her. She is my lumination in a truly dark world.


-If Love is Blind-

If Love is blind
Then why do I see so clearly?
Pure beauty in its rarest form
True and intimate
Clear as day, my love
Takes the form of angels
Nay, a creature I’ve never seen
Never imagined possible
Before I met her

If love is blind
Then why do I have such vision
Such confidence and clarity
Of our future, together
Not scared, only hopeful
Only promising another great day
Every day, us together
And I know, know so well
That I have met my match

Love is not blind
I’ve determined that
It actually takes off the blinders
Opens the shades, and cleans the lenses
Of a desired sight
A longed for vision
Of the soul, the heart
The mind together
And now I know
That I’ve never truly seen before
