Once upon a time, not so long ago, it is said that the wheat people had a dream to go. They dreamed of a place where they could be free, pray and worship in liberty.

The Creator, hearing their cries from above, gathered them together, in His love and carried them to a distant place, where they could live in liberty and seek His face.

So the Creator told his workers to plant good seed. Plant as much as you want, as much as you need. The soil is good the seeds are too, so plant until the day is through.

The wheat people knowing they’d been set free, began to thank their Creator for their liberty. Yes, they gave thanks and worshipped their Creator that day, for hearing their cries, and showing them the way.

Walking to and fro across the land, the enemy heard that freedom was at hand. He thought to himself, this cannot be. Oh, what must I do to get them to worship me?
Then true to his nature, he hatched his plan, “I’ll plant my tares throughout their land.

As the days passed by, and the tare people grew, the Creator’s servant’s wondered what they should do. So, they returned to their Master and reported to Him, that the good field has tares, how could this have been?

The Master told them, don’t worry for now. My enemy planted them one night, that’s how. If you pull them up, you’ll get them that’s true, but in the process you’ll destroy the wheat people too. So let them grow, and when harvest time comes, we’ll remove them and burn them, and gather my loved ones.

Then one day, a shout from below, the enemy’s plan was ready to go. Emboldened with hate and ready to fly, the tare people knew that by and by, the enemy’s plan would come to be, and the wheat people’s worship would cease you see.

Knowing they could not change their decrees, the tares went to court to see what might be. To the courts they went, without disgrace, knowing tares had been planted all over the place. In the courtrooms, media, schools to boot, the tares were ready to take root.

First they doubted the Creator, and tossed prayer of out school. Proclaimed to the world, the wheat people were fools.

Then they redefined life, and devalued it no less, the tare people proclaimed that choice was the best.

Strengthened the tare people continued to sprout, their invectives and desires they continued to shout. Let the commandments of the Creator be pulled down from the walls, all the public places, like schools and city halls. No fear of the Creator, the tares then said, these laws must be put aside to clear our head, of the guilt and the shame we once knew, and the tares rejoiced—goodness and truth were through.

By now, the wheat people were very dismayed. They’d seen so many go astray, embrace and accept what the tare people do, it broke their hearts that they were no longer true, to the One who delivered them to their land, set them apart and gave them a helping hand.
To the One who blessed them in every way, many became thankless and fell away.

With truth in shambles and life in a mess, the tare people still had one greater test. They thought and thought, oh what can we do? They thought and they thought, then they knew, They’d have to tear down the marriage covenant too.

Yes, this was the plumb, the trophy you see. If they could do this, they would finally be free. No more opposition to their godless plans, for their evil deeds would be law of the land.

So Jack and Jim, and Belinda and Jill went off to the courts for one final kill. They knew in their hearts if they could pull this one off too…the wheat people would fold and they would be through.

Standing in defiance to the Lord of the land, they finally had the wheat in the palm of their hand. And to think they accomplished their evil deeds and all, without having to pass even one new law.

Broken and saddened over the loss of their land, the wheat people knew they must take a stand. Full of fruit they bowed on their knee that day, seeking forgiveness for their sins and their apathetic ways. They prayed to their Creator to deliver them soon, to strengthen their hearts and heal their wounds.

Filled with pride, smug you might say, the fruitless tares despised the wheat people’s ways. Against the sun, the tares stood tall, looking around they had it all. And in their hearts they had no fear, and told the Creator “We don’t want you here.”

With harvest time near, the Creator stood, hearing the cries and the prayers of the good. Then the heavens opened and a shout could be heard, and the standing Creator’s heart became stirred, sending his harvesters into the fields; the tares trembled as the sickles did wield.

Someday the land will be free of the tares. No more will they plunder; no more will they care. Along with the enemy of the Creator you see, the tares will be burned and never be free. So let not your hearts be troubled, nor your spirits faint, for the Lord will deliver his tried and true Saints.
