I WAS LIKE DRIFTWOOD

I WAS JUST LIKE DRIFTWOOD
JUST DRIFTING DOWNSTREAM
I HAD NO GOOD HOPE LEFT
MY LIFE DIDNT HAVE A DREAM

I JUST FLOATED WITH THE FLOW
MY ONLY DIRECTION WAS DOWN
WITH MY DESTINY DRAWING CLOSER
MY PRAYER WAS TO BE FOUND

ONE DAY FROM THE SHORE
A VOICE KNOCKED ON MY HEART
"IM JESUS THE SON OF GOD
IN ME YOU CAN HAVE A NEW START"

SO I HEEDED HIS CALL
AND JESUS TOOK ME IN
NOT ONLY AS A SAVIOUR
BUT AS A BEST FRIEND

NOW I HAVE NEW HOPE
THIS DRIFTWOOD ISNT DEAD
FOR JESUS GAVE ME A DREAM
BESIDES THIS OLE RIVERBED

I like this poem. Good imagery and feeling. May I suggest that you try not to use all caps in your writing. A lot of editors frown on the practice. I would try to find a publisher for it. Best wishes.
